Last updated: 20th of October 2026. This policy describes which personal data is processed when you visit joiel.ch. It follows the revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Controller

E-mail: barbet@joiel.ch
Principle
We process only the data we genuinely need in order to answer your enquiry and to place our puppies. We do not sell data, do not pass it on for advertising purposes and use no advertising networks.
What this website does NOT do
- It sets no cookies.
- It stores nothing in your browser, neither local storage nor session storage.
- It contains no analytics or statistics tools, no Google Analytics, no tracking pixels.
- It embeds no social media content. The icons in the header and footer are ordinary links.
- It uses no advertising or referral services.
This is why there is no cookie banner on this website: there is nothing to consent to.
Server logs
As with any website, our host records access data for technical reasons, usually IP address, time, page requested, browser type and operating system. This data serves the operation and security of the server. It is not combined with other sources and is not used to identify individuals.
Hosting provider: Novatrend Services GmbH, Bahnhofstrasse 18, 6340 Baar, Switzerland. The servers are located in a Swiss data centre. Log retention period: [PERIOD AS STATED BY THE HOST].
Getting in touch and puppy enquiries
When you submit a form, your details are transmitted to our server and forwarded from there as an e-mail to zucht@joiel.ch. We do not store them in a database; the message then sits in our e-mail inbox. The address you provide is used as the reply address so that we can answer you directly.
In addition, the form transmits the page on which you opened it and the page you came from, for example the page of one of our dogs or a search engine. This lets us see what you were interested in and place your enquiry better. Nothing is stored in your browser and no cookie is set for this. The information contains no search terms and no parameters and appears only in the e-mail to us.
What you write to us, that is name, address, telephone number, details about your home and your dogs, is processed solely in order to answer your enquiry and to decide about a possible puppy placement.
Retention: enquiries that do not lead to a placement are deleted at the latest 24 months after the last contact. Where a placement goes ahead, we keep the documents for as long as the sales contract, the pedigree and statutory retention obligations require.
Fonts from Google Fonts
This website loads the typefaces Jost and Source Sans 3 from Google's servers (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). Your IP address is transmitted to Google in the process, because your browser fetches the font files directly from there. In principle, Google can infer that this website was opened from your IP address.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a consistent presentation of the website. If you would rather avoid this, the fonts can also be placed on our own server. Please tell us if that matters to you.

Links to social networks
We link to our profiles on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. Only when you click one of these links do you leave this website, and the privacy terms of the respective provider then apply. As long as you do not click, nothing is transmitted to these services.
Your rights
You have the right to obtain information about the personal data we process, to have inaccurate data corrected and to have data deleted. You may object to processing and, where the GDPR applies, request your data in a common format.
Please write to barbet@joiel.ch. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or with the European supervisory authority responsible for you.
Changes
We update this policy when the website or the legal situation changes. The version published here is the one that applies.
